NYS Senate Holding Public Hearing to Address Lake Ontario Flooding

Residents and businesses along Lake Ontario get a chance today to explain how they were affected by this year's record flooding.

The New York State Senate is holding a public hearing this afternoon in Oswego County.

Senators say it's also an opportunity to examine Plan 2014 -- the international water level management plan that some critics say was a factor in the spring floods.

The Senators will also discuss federal and state programs designed to help people repair the damage and protect their property.

The hearing will take place at 4 p.m. at Mexico High School in Oswego County. An additional hearing is planned for a location in Wayne County in November.
