Environmentalists are warning of toxic algae blooms contaminating drinking water Upstate. An Ithaca based group called Toxics Targeting spoke yesterday at the State Capitol calling for something to be done. The group warned that water sources in the Rochester, Auburn, Syracuse and Albany region have problems related to the algae blooms. The algae potentially can sicken people in low levels.
