An alleged Upstate heroin kingpin is behind bars.
Arthur "Wise" Erskine was arrested in Utica on Tuesday by U.S. marshals. He had been wanted since May by the state for running a statewide heroin ring out of the Finger Lakes Region that's reportedly responsible for at least one death.
Ithaca police said yesterday that Erskine is jailed in Tioga County and is due back in court tomorrow.
