Webster Man Arrested In Connection With Hazardous Materials Investigation

A Webster man has been arrested in connection with the hazardous materials investigation this week at a vacant Rochester apartment building.

Authorities say Eric Reynolds is the owner of the building at 401 Ridgeway Avenue, where the bomb squad removed an apparent explosive device early yesterday morning.

Webster Mayor John Cahill says Reynolds' wife is a former Village Trustee -- and Reynolds has been an outspoken figure at Village board meetings.

Investigators searched Reynolds' home on Kircher Park in Webster last night and seized evidence. The Ridgeway property reportedly was facing foreclosure and had a history of code violations.
