Gates police have arrested five young people in a burglary and an assault on 14-year-old girl.
It happened at a home on Elvira Street. Police say the suspects kicked open a door and assaulted the girl inside. The assault included the use of pepper spray.
Sixteen-year-old Idalis Santiago, of Rochester, was released on her own recognizance.
Bail was set for three juveniles -- and 17-year-old Jarrett Lewis, of Irondequoit. The charges include burglary, assault and criminal mischief.
