Webster N.Y.- A Webster man has been charged with Grand Larceny in connection with a check kiting scheme.
State Police charged 53-year-old Joseph Muller of Lake Road with Second Degree Grand Larceny and 46 counts of Criminal Posession of a Forged Instrument. They said Muller used his home computer to create personal checks on other people's accounts, made payble to him. He used them to steal their money.....getting more than 127-thousand-dollars from one particular victim.
Muller has been arraigned in Webster Town Court and is being held in jail pending a hearing next week.
Muller was a tax accountant, and State Police are asking people to call them if they have any information of suspicious activity involving checks.
