Rochester, NY -- The search is continuing for a second day for Marcus Freeman, 26, the man wanted for a daylight double shooting that killed a woman and critically wounded a man.
Police have identified the dead woman as 27-year-old Walesy Alvarez. A man in his 30's, remains in critical condition after surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital.
City police say Freeman is armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
They say Freeman opened fire on a group in the 200 Block of Pullman Avenue about 10:30 Wednesday morning. Alvarez and the male victim were apparently targeted deliberately.
Police later locked down the District Attorney's Offices downtown after the shooting. DA Sandra Doorley said the extra security was in response to the shootings.
