Rochester, NY -- Brighton school officials say a bus driver was charged with DWI soon after dropping off students on a morning run to a private school.
In a letter to parents, superintendent Kevin McGowan said the driver had stopped at a gas station after the students were unloaded, had difficulty exiting the parking lot and was given a sobriety test by police.
It was the first day of school for the students. The district says it has contacted the families.
The letter says the driver was employed by the First Student bus company and will not drrve any route for any Brighton students in the future.
