Rochester, NY -- A Rochester woman has been sentenced to 14 years in prison and five years probation for the fatal stabbing of her live-in boyfriend.
Tanisha Davis was convicted of manslaughter in July in the death last November of Montreall Wright at a home on Sawyer Street.
Prosecutor Bill Gargan says the sentence fell in the middle of the range of a possible 5 to 25 years. Gargan says Wright's mother spoke at the sentencing, and has forgiven Davis, but says she can never forget the loss of her son.
Davis had argued she had been abused, but Gargan says her history contradicted her claim.
