Rochester, NY -- Wondering what the PGA pros do when they've got some downtime?
Some have been heading to Midtown Athletic Club on Highland Avenue.
A desk supervisor says the club extends club privileges to the PGA players. And 30 to 35 have already visited this week -- including Tiger Woods, who visited twice.
One nice perk for the top golfers and PGA officials -- courtesy cars.
The tour players find a luxury car at their disposal for the week; sometimes a BMW or, as is the case this season, a Mercedes-Benz.
Edward Sanders of Atlanta heads a crew washing the identical cars at Oak Hill Country Club.
The cars are brought to each tour stop by flatbed truck.
Yes, that was NASCAR driver Danica Patrick you might have spotted at Oak Hill Country Club. The PGA reports on its website that she and driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. made a visit as they get ready for this weekend's race at Watkins Glen. Stenhouse says that he's a lefty so he's rooting for Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson.
Wireless customers at the course have complained this week about cell phone service. AT&T and Verizon both say they have added capacity in the area. Both companies say they are seeing customers doing a lot of messaging, not calling.
AT&T says it's handling the load well. Verizon says it added a tower Wednesday night.
