Rochester, NY -- The County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency, COMIDA, has approved tax breaks for six more development projects including sales tax exemptions for North American Breweries, owner of the High Falls Operating Company -- the historic Genesee Brewery. The county says the company expanding its facilities and adding modern production equipment -- a project totaling $2 million.
Meanwhile, the EJ DelMonte Corporation is getting a sales tax exemption for a $2.4 million renovation of its Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Greece. The hotel will become a Fairfield Inn. Additional sales and mortgage tax breaks are for the company's planned $18 million construction of a Hilton Garden Inn at Rochester's Collegetown site.
