Rochester Man Takes Plea Deal in Fatal Weld St. Shooting

A Rochester man has taken a plea deal in the fatal shooting of a teen on the city's northeast side.

Raymar Alexander pleaded guilty today to 1st-degree manslaughter.

Alexander was just 16 when prosecutors say he gunned down 17-year-old Chance Mosley on Weld Street in November 2022.

He was arrested a few days later, and shot himself during a scuffle with police.

Alexander will be formally sentenced to 17 years in prison in July.
