The former commander of the Geneva American Legion is accused of stealing nearly $93,000 from that organization.
63-year-old Dale Mosher is charged with grand larceny.
Ontario County Sheriff David Cirenciione says Mosher embezzled the money from December of 2015 through May of last year.
Cirencione also says the new commander discovered the theft while checking bank records.
Mosher was arraigned and released.
